The first day of spring is a month away. Time to anticipate warmer temps and seasonal trends—in fashion, beauty, and hair. This men’s styling collection from Rodrick Samuels (@rodricksamuels), an artist, owner, and educator, contrasts the poppy graphics of the fabric with the sleek, sculptural shapes in the hair.
“The inspiration for the collection comes from my love of fashion and in particular one designer, Virgil Abloh, whose ‘Floral Shop’ pop up reveals his deep interest in floral art, as well as fashion,” says Samuels, who recently launched a new barber school in Detroit. “Each hairstyle in this collection is different, much like Abloh’s clothing. What you will notice in the collection is that the fashion has a playful approach to the staples of menswear with a slick sense of street style in the hair.”
