The esteemed judging panel for Sport Clips The Look

Sport Clips Haircuts' "The Look" competition is held every year to challenge stylists to enter their best men’s work, based on a theme. The winner is then announced at Sport Clips’ National Huddle.  This year, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the final announcement of the winner was held via a ZOOM call on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

The winner is Jessika Gonzales of Tustin, CA.

Stacia Kelley and Erin Smith, Sport Clips Artistic Design Team Members, were the hosts from the virtual red carpet and they announced the winners and explained the process of setting up this virtual reveal.

“We had to see inside their houses, help them select the best places to film, look at their lighting, not to mention get them mannequin heads and mannequin stands. But they all came through like champs,” says Kelley.

Guest judges were Erik Thrane (Nioxin), Evan Wooding (Sexy Hair), and Kelly Cardenas.

Finalists this year were:

 Kelly Robinson, Bentonville, AS

“She went in for the detail work in the interior of the haircut.  She left length on the tops and sides and styled it to create volume.”--Stacia

Kristy Little, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

“I loved the confidence she showed.  She had her roadmap and knew where she was going.”—Erin Smith

 Jules McCullough, Hudson, MS

“It’s nice and controlled and she added a “V” in the back for a modern twist on the theme.”--Stacia

Jessika Gonzales, Tustin, CA—The Winning Look

“It was so great to watch the fluid motion of her clipper work and the soft touch she gave to the taper in the neckline.  The slicked back look really fit the theme, too.”—Erin Smith
