When Sport Clips Haircuts looks for new stylists, students in accredited beauty schools across the country are a top resource for talent. These cosmetology students have the opportunity now through February 4 to submit their work in men's haircuts for the chance to win a trip to the Sport Clips Haircuts National Huddle in Las Vegas. The trip is from April 6-9, and winners will be able to meet and learn from some of the industry's best.
"Future professionals enjoy the process of creating original hairstyles and modern-day looks the way they will in their careers after they graduate. Winning a trip to be with thousands of other industry professionals who are learning and growing their skills at our national event could be the highlight of their training," says Julie Vargas, vice president of career opportunities for Sport Clips Haircuts. "There's a world of jobs and opportunity awaiting these future professionals, and we're thrilled to give them the chance to gain insight into the Sport Clips' culture and take their talent to the next level through The Look: Student Edition."
A minimum of three winners will be selected and each will chose one school representative or educator as a travel companion. Both the student and companion will receive round-trip airfare to Las Vegas along with a three-night stay, transportation, meals and training sessions.
To enter, students must be enrolled or have been enrolled in an accredited cosmetology school between the dates of January 15, 2018 and February 25, 2018. They are to select a male model, create an original hairstyle and submit seven before and after images. The haircut must take place in a school environment with a school official present. Students may submit up to three separate models and styles with individual entry forms completed for each model and style. These must be uploaded on or before February 4, 2019.
