New businesses are popping up everywhere, but 20% fail within a year. One of the biggest reasons for failure is because there is no market need for the product. ZenBusiness examined the best businesses in the most populous U.S. cities by comparing Google search volumes for people looking for each business against the actual number of businesses in each location. And guess what? The study showed that Barbershops are the 11th most in-demand business.

The best business types to start in the 50 U.S. included pizza, breakfast & brunch, steakhouses, Indian restaurants, nail salons, creperies, music and DVD stores, barbershops, comic books, delicatessens, piercing studios, car auctions, fast food, massage, Spanish restaurants, gelato cafes, and key and locksmiths.
