The ArchiTEXTURE Collection from Johnny B emphasizes facial angles through multidimensional texture. Versatile cuts and products enhance hair volume with a carefree structure to the styling, allowing directional results that appear controlled. Stylist Rich Bonner explains his thinking behind each style and the Johnny B products he used to create these looks:
VICTOR
"His hair isn’t very thick but has a soft wave texture that tends to curl at the bottom. I wanted to eliminate frizz, add volume for a fuller look with a flexible hold. To build a base, I used Smooth Styling Cream because it offers the benefits of a gel and a mousse without weighing the hair down. I added volume for fullness with Lifted Hair Spray. Used in combination, these two products provided the perfect flexible hold that allowed movement and combability. Beard Oil was applied to his beard to add shine.

"His naturally thick hair has a soft wave to it. Using Molding Paste, I was able to provide a strong flexible hold and natural shine while bringing out the movement in the texture of his cut and style. Beard Balm was used on his thick beard, which works like a pomade. It allowed me to really form and shape his beard while adding moisture to the dry skin underneath.

"Natural texture is one that young people these days pay to achieve through perms. Luckily for him, his are 100 percent natural. His kinky curls needed to be refined. Using Control Gel, a lightweight product that doesn’t weigh the hair down, shine and hold were added without compromising or weighing down his naturally curly texture. It helped lock-in moisture, imparting a soft, frizz-free effect.

"Providing a fuller look with a cut this short was the result of two products. Because his natural texture is straight and on the finer side, Code B was sprayed on to help thicken hair. Then I used Street Cream to bring out the textured look of the shear work on top. The matte finish provided a natural looking result."
