“I kept three words in mind while designing the shop—vintage, masculine and New York,” he said. “From the brick walls we installed to the vintage gold lettering on the windows outside, I wanted a warm, cozy, masculine feel. I wanted a friendly, local neighborhood barbershop within the city of West Hollywood.”

Four vintage movie theatre seats outside speak to the community found within the shop, while providing patrons a place to sit, wait and chat.

Inside is a small, intimate, four-chair shop. The vintage chairs and bench are in tufted letter, and industrial wall sconces with filament bulbs speak to another era.

The wood flooring extends up the back wall of the shop. The brick walls feature ghost signs, which are the look of an old hand-painted ad that has been preserved over time.

"The classic black and white bathroom features mug shots of Johnny Cash and Steve McQueen, as well as mounted lockers for storage, says Halem.
